                                                       DEATH BY THE BOX

They rest in the box, quietly waiting for the call to perform, shiny and new, bright brass and dull lead, lined up in neat rows, waiting. One by one they will leave their resting place and will join with the gun that will allow them to fulfill their destiny. Six at a time they will travel with the gun to the place where the soft stroke of the trigger will awaken one of them. It will spend its short life traveling down the barrel of the pistol and across the short space to strike flesh where it will come to rest. By its actions and the actions of its box mates warm living bodies will be torn and ripped and holed. The blood will flow and flesh will splatter. Each body will become the resting place for one or more of them as I move down the line ending lives.
